Build with Us
A solution architect who builds.
An engineer who wants to solve your problem, with the skills, tools and judgment to do it. Each has 18+ years of architecting and building complex systems. They get to grips with your business and its complexity fast, then build alongside the person who owns the problem.
Two weeks. All you commit to
A month after that, paid in advance
Engineering and AI compute
Each architect's experience
Mid-sized companies that want to try things with AI, and get them into production.
You don't need a planning project or a long contract to start. You need the right person on the work.
You have a first piece of work
An AI workflow, a hard integration, a module that has to be rebuilt. Something real to start on.
Someone owns the problem
A person on your side who knows how the work really runs and can make decisions quickly.
You'd rather start than plan
If big questions need answering first, a Blueprint is the better start, and we'll say so.
Need a team of several people from day one? That's Product & Platform Development.
Work tied to the numbers your board already tracks.
Leadership teams at mid-sized and PE-backed companies usually start with one lever in the value creation plan. Some first pieces of work:
Margin
One process that grows with headcount
The back-office work that needs more people every time volume grows: order exceptions, claims, onboarding or collections, rebuilt around AI.
The outcome to aim for
Volume grows, headcount doesn't
Margin
Pricing and quoting
Quotes built from your own deal history, costs and win rates, with a person approving every price.
The outcome to aim for
Margin points on every quote, quotes out the same day
Revenue
Retention signals
Churn and expansion signals from usage, support and billing data, in front of account teams every week.
The outcome to aim for
Net revenue retention up
Revenue
A first AI feature customers pay for
One AI capability inside your product, built on your data and shipped to real customers.
The outcome to aim for
A new revenue line, and an AI story that holds up in diligence
Add-ons
Integrating the next acquisition
An add-on's customers, orders and data brought onto your platform and workflows.
The outcome to aim for
Synergies sooner, and a playbook for the next deal
Cash
Collections and working capital
Open invoices ranked by risk, with the next step and a drafted message for your team to send.
The outcome to aim for
Lower DSO, cash in sooner
Commit to two weeks. Then decide.
01
Strategy call
20–30 minutes: the problem, the first piece of work, and who owns it.
02
Readiness check
An architect confirms the first task, access, and any security or compliance needs.
03
The first two weeks
The architect builds with your counterpart, with a short written update every day.
04
Review, then choose
What's done, what's next, and our read on the return. Take a second two weeks, go month to month, or stop.
You decide what happens next.
You get the work so far and our read on the return: how big, how long, and what it takes. Then you choose.
Keep going
Take a second two weeks at $10K if you need it, once. After that, month to month at $20K, same architect, next piece of work.
Add a team
When the work needs more than one person, it becomes Product & Platform Development. The architect and the work carry over.
Plan first
If big questions came up, a Blueprint answers them before more gets built.
Stop
Don't renew. You keep the code, the data and everything built, and the accounts we set up transfer to you.
Engineering and AI compute, from one senior architect.
- A solution architect with 18+ years of building complex systems
- Our AI-enabled method: small specs, agent-assisted building, human review, testing
- AI compute for building, included
- One shared backlog, daily updates, regular reviews
- Responsible AI: company accounts only, no training on your code
- You own the code. We set up the repos and accounts for you, ready to transfer when you need them
A person, access, and quick decisions.
- Someone who owns the problem and can decide within a business day
- Access to your systems by day one
- A sponsor who approved the spend
Not staff augmentation
You don't manage a contractor. You get an architect working the Digital Scientists way, and we stand behind the work. When the work needs a team, the architect and the work carry over.
One architect. One owner. Live in about a month.
An operations team's referral intake was handled by hand. One of our engineers paired with the person who ran it, learned how the work really happened, and built the AI workflow alongside them. It ran in shadow mode first, with a person signing off every decision, and was live in about a month.

What happens in the first two weeks?
Your architect spends the first days learning your systems, your data and how the work really runs, side by side with the person who owns the problem. Then they build, with a short written update every day. At the end, we sit down with you to review what's done and give you our honest read on the return: how big it could be, how long it would take, and what it would need.
What do we commit to?
Two weeks. If you want more time before deciding, you can take a second two weeks. After that it runs month to month, paid in advance, for as long as it's earning its keep.
What are we paying for?
A senior solution architect's time and judgment, the AI tools they build with, and the compute those tools use. It's a subscription to capability, not a bill for hours, so nobody is watching a clock. You set the priorities and can change them whenever the business needs something different.
Do we need a spec, or a Blueprint first?
No. You need one real piece of work and someone on your side who owns it. Your architect breaks it into small, testable pieces as they go. If the big questions need answering first, we'll tell you, and a Blueprint is the better place to start.
What if we decide to stop?
Let us know before the next period starts. You keep everything built: the code, the data and the accounts. If you come back later, we'll match you with the right architect at that point.
What if the work needs more than one person?
That's usually a good sign. It becomes Product & Platform Development, with a team sized to the work as an MVP or a Full Build. Your architect and everything they've built carry over, so nothing starts from scratch.
Who owns the code?
You do, from day one. We set up the repositories and accounts for you, so when you want to bring it in-house, it's a simple transfer, not a migration.
How do you use AI, and is our data safe?
AI does much of the building. Senior engineers decide what gets built and review every change before it ships. We use company accounts only, nothing trains on your code or data, and a named engineer is accountable for every change. That's our Responsible AI standard, and we're glad to walk your security team through it.
Is this forward deployed engineering?
It's the same idea, sized for a mid-sized company. Build with Us starts with one architect on your existing systems, you own what's built, and you can stop after two weeks. If you already need a larger embedded team, see Forward Deployed AI Engineering.
