Driving Safety and Personalization with AI + CDS

Patient safety is a critical part of the patient experience in healthcare. It’s also foundational to trust. A recent AHRQ review has emphasized that Clinical Decision Support (CDS/CDSS) and Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) systems decrease errors and improve healthcare outcomes, thereby improving patient experience.

In particular, well-designed CDS tools provide important alerts without overwhelming either clinicians or patients. AI, on the other hand, personalizes treatment to each patient by analyzing real-time data and predicting deterioration.

One key note: these tools are only as good as the way in which they are implemented. In other words, systems must fit clinical workflows and support rather than hinder the care process.
