Opportunity Assessment · 2–3 Weeks
2–3 weeksThe Diagnostic is a focused, 2–3 week deep-dive assessment that maps your workflows, interviews your stakeholders, evaluates your data landscape, and analyzes the competitive environment. The outcome is a ranked list of opportunities scored by business impact, technical feasibility, and effort—so you invest in the right thing, not just the most obvious thing.
Our team embeds with yours to understand how work actually gets done—where time is wasted, where decisions are made with incomplete information, and where technology can create measurable impact. We do not start with solutions. We start with the problem and let the evidence guide the recommendation.
The Diagnostic is often the right starting point when the organization knows something needs to change but has not decided what. It provides the business case, the roadmap, and the executive-ready presentation needed to justify a product investment. Many clients move from a Diagnostic directly into The Experiment to validate the top opportunity, or into a Blueprint for more comprehensive planning.
The analysis and artifacts your team needs to make confident investment decisions.
A comprehensive analysis of your current workflows, pain points, and technology landscape. Identifies every opportunity worth pursuing, with supporting evidence from stakeholder interviews and data review.
A visual framework plotting each opportunity against implementation effort and expected business impact. Makes prioritization obvious and gives your team a shared decision-making tool.
A phased plan showing what to tackle first, what to sequence next, and what to defer. Includes timeline estimates and dependency mapping so you can plan resources and budget.
A board-ready presentation summarizing findings, recommendations, and proposed next steps. Designed to secure budget approval and stakeholder buy-in for the recommended path forward.
We move fast but go deep—interviewing your people, analyzing your data, and delivering actionable recommendations.
Week 1
Stakeholder interviews, workflow observation, data inventory, and competitive landscape review. We learn how your organization actually works—not how the org chart says it works.
Week 2
Cross-reference findings, identify patterns, score opportunities against feasibility and impact. Build the effort-vs-impact matrix and draft the roadmap.
Week 3
Present findings to your leadership team. Walk through the ranked opportunity list, recommended roadmap, and proposed next steps. Leave with budget guidance and a clear path forward.
The Diagnostic is designed for organizations that need to understand their opportunity landscape before committing resources.
Your organization feels the pain of outdated processes or manual workflows, but nobody has mapped the full landscape to identify where technology would have the most impact. The Diagnostic surfaces the opportunities you cannot see from inside the day-to-day.
Your board or executive team needs more than a pitch. They want evidence: what is the opportunity, what will it cost, what is the expected return, and why now. The Diagnostic produces the executive-ready materials to secure that approval.
Internal teams are too close to the problem. You need experienced product and technology strategists who have solved similar problems across multiple industries to show you what is possible and what is practical.
30 minutes. No pitch. We'll help you determine if a Diagnostic is the right starting point—or recommend a Working Session for faster alignment or The Experiment if you already know what to test.
